A few years ago, this 1920's watch has been diagnosed as "worn out and not worth repairing" and fitted with $5 quartz movement. Luckily enough, the owner kept and preserved original parts. The picture says it all. Note mirror-like finish on inner dust cover. Another solved mystery!
