Very rare Ansonia "Royal Bonn style" Clock "Winnepeg", ca. 1890-1900. Dimension 30cm x 25 cm 15 cm. Time and strike movement, all complete and original. Overall condition very good to excellent. Normal crazing, as to be expected but no chips or cracks.
This particular case is one of the first pottery / porcelain clock cases made in New Jersey for the American Clock Company (prior to this date all cases were imported from Germany). Historically important clock, highly collectable and of investment quality.

Multicoloured gilt case with pink, yellow, rose gold and silver and silver inlaid corinthian pillars. Silver dial with Griffin, mythological creature with a winged lion's body and an eagle's head, symbol of strength and vigilance. No. 816.
