Rolex 116660 DeepSea James Cameron
Serial number: J129E15.  52mm case size.  Half black half blue dial with rotating bezel. Stainless steel case and bracelet.  Sapphire crystal glass.  Luminescent hands and numerals. Helium valve. Superlative chronometer officially certified. Screw-down crown. Automatic movement.  Waterproof to 12,000m.

Taking as their starting point the diameter of the movement and dial of the Rolex Deepsea, the engineers calculated the technical dimensions required to resist the shock of the 1,500-bar pressure test.  At a depth of 15,000 metres, the load exerted on the crystal was 17 tonnes and on the caseback nearly 23 tonnes; the equivalent of about 10 SUVs piled on the watch.

The Rolex Deepsea Challenge is a watch paying tribute to its three-fold heritage:  The name of James Cameron′s project, the 1960 Deep Sea Special model and the 2008 Rolex Deepsea.

Overall Condition: 10/10; full plastic wrap, unworn.
